In Case of an Emergency

If you have an emergency outside of our regular business hours call our 24hr pager: (604) 806-2244. Please leave a brief message with a call back number or just type in your telephone number followed by the # sign.


Most importantly PLEASE REMAIN OFF THE LINE so we can get through when calling you back. It will sometimes take a few minutes for the page to get through to us. If you don't hear back in a few minutes then try paging again as occasionally the message is dropped by Telus.

Occasionally the pager message will direct you to the Vancouver Animal Emergency Clinic in Vancouver. This is because we are unable to respond. The Vancouver Animal Emergency Clinic number is: 604 734-5104. 

In the event that an emergency occurs after the last ferry has left the Island and we are unavailable (rarely) then some coordination is required:

1). The Cormorant Marine Water Taxi service can be privately chartered in an emergency. They can take you and your pet to either Horseshoe Bay or to Granville Island. Cellular 604 250-2630, tel 604 947-2243

2).The Pet Ambulance from North Vancouver can also be called to meet you in Horseshoe Bay or Granville Island to transport to the Vancouver Animal Emergency Clinic. Tel 604 984-7395, pager 604 643-9608
