Dr. Theresa was born in Cape Town, South Africa. She spent her early childhood living in Germany and then England, before her family settled on Bowen Island when she was 11. She has always had a passion for nature & animals, which led her to pursue a bachelor’s degree in biology at Queen’s University after high school. She went on to study veterinary medicine in Budapest, Hungary, and graduated in 2020. During the process of obtaining her Canadian license, she worked at Bowen Vet as an assistant under Dr. Midge’s mentorship. Since obtaining her Canadian license, she has been greatly enjoying caring for Bowen’s pets. She loves the community feel of a small-town vet clinic. In her free time, she enjoys spending time in nature, with friends and family, as well as traveling. She also enjoys hanging out with her family pets Mogli, the doodle, and Ronja, the calico cat.
